As a print journalism major at USC’s Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, I have demonstrated an ability to produce articles fit to print. I want to build on that foundation and broaden my education to encompass work in online communities. I will get to do just that through Annenberg’s Program on Online Communities (APOC) at USC, an accelerated graduate degree program aimed at churning out the next generation of leaders and managers of online communities.
I learned of the Annenberg Program on Online Communities (APOC) from my mentor and friend, Allyson Hill. I saw this as an opportunity to bridge my passion for writing with new age technology. The Internet has revolutionized how we interact, how we gather information and how we navigate the world.
As a Sports Information intern at USC’s Heritage Hall, I have seen just how the World Wide Web has changed the sports landscape. It is my goal through this program to acquire the tools necessary to improve the way we watch, follow and discuss sports.
Hi,
What did you think of the program? I’m a college sophomore and i’m interested in the program.
Cheers,
Andrew
I’d recommend it to any one. It is the only program like it around the country. The professors are all working professionals. Their insights and enthusiasm about the subject matter is what impressed me most. Good luck, and if you have any other questions just let me know.
